Cancellation Policy

When you can cancel or move a booking at The Pickle Camp, and what happens if you cannot.

Last updated October 9, 2026

1. The short version

Cancel or move a court booking yourself at least 1 full day before it starts. Inside that window, message us — we will help where we can, but we cannot promise it.

  • You can move a booking twice.
  • Every booking has its own page. The link is on your confirmation; keep it.
  • A no-show is not a cancellation. The court was held and nobody else could use it.

2. Cancelling a court booking

Open your reservation page and choose Cancel. You will be asked for a reason — a short one is fine, and it helps us understand what is not working.

The system will not let you cancel inside 24 hours of your start time, because at that point the slot is very unlikely to be re-sold. If something genuinely urgent has happened, message us.

3. Moving a booking

You can move a booking to another available time twice, at least 1 full day before it starts. Pick the new time on your reservation page; if it is free, it is yours immediately.

A moved booking keeps its original price, even if the new time is normally charged at a different rate.

4. If you paid ahead

Nothing is charged through this website, so there is nothing to refund. If you have paid a deposit at the venue, talk to us.

5. Late cancellations and no-shows

If you cancel too late for us to re-sell the slot, or simply do not arrive, we treat the booking as used. The court was reserved, and nobody else could book it.

We are not trying to catch anybody out. Tell us as early as you can and we will nearly always find a way.

6. Open play

An open play place can be given up before the session starts — tell us and we will take you off the list so a waitlisted player can take it.

If we cancel a session, or it does not run because too few people signed up, you are not charged. If you have already paid, you are refunded in full.

7. Competitions

Competition entries are handled separately, because a draw is built around who entered. Withdrawing before the draw is generated costs nothing. After that, we will refund where we can still balance the draw, and tell you plainly when we cannot.

8. If we cancel

Sometimes we have to close — a flooded court, a power cut, a typhoon, maintenance that cannot wait, or an order from an authority.

When that happens you get a full refund of anything you have paid, or a credit for another time if you would rather. You choose. We will contact you on the number attached to the booking.

To reach us, call or text (0945) 530 8075, or message us on Facebook at m.me/thepicklecamp.

The time limits on this page are the ones the booking system actually enforces — they are read from this venue's settings, so this page and the software cannot disagree. It is a starting point, not legal advice.
